Towels matter more than the chemistry.Nearly every story about a rinseless wash scratching paint is someone using one towel on a whole car. Fold a plush cloth into quarters and you have eight clean faces. Turn to a fresh one every pass.
How to use them
Fold into quarters. Wipe one direction, light pressure, clean face every pass. When all eight faces are used, take a fresh towel.
Grey plush for paint. Blue waffle for glass. A cloth that has touched wheels never goes near paint again.
Washing them
Machine wash at 40°C with a microfibre detergent or a plain non-bio. No fabric conditioner — it coats the fibres and kills absorbency. Tumble dry low or air dry. Wash separately from cotton.
