About Streetside
Nine million homes.
Nowhere to wash a car.
Every bottle of car shampoo assumes a driveway and a hose. We started Streetside because roughly a third of the country has neither — and nobody was making anything for them.
Why this exists
It started with a bottle that couldn't be used.
Read the back of any car shampoo and you'll find the same instruction: rinse thoroughly. It's the one thing you can't do from a permit bay forty metres from your front door.
Around nine million UK households have nowhere to park off the road. Terraced streets, flats, permit zones, new-builds with a car park and no tap. That's a very large number of people for whom an entire product category simply doesn't work.
Their options are to pay someone else every few weeks, or let the car stay dirty. Most choose the first, which costs about £144 a year and puts your paint in the hands of whoever is holding the sponge.
Streetside makes the third option. A rinseless wash that cleans a full car from one bucket of warm water carried from an indoor tap, and the microfibre to go with it — because towel choice is honestly half of whether it goes well, and every other brand leaves that to you.
What we make
Four products. Nothing you won't use.
What we make
- A rinseless concentrate for a proper wash from one bucket
- A waterless spray for light dirt in milder weather
- An interior cleaner that leaves a matt factory finish
- An ammonia-free glass cleaner, safe on tinted film
- The microfibre that makes all of it safe on paint
What we don't
- Anything that needs a hose or a pressure washer
- Snow foam, because it needs rinsing
- Twelve variations on the same shampoo
- Claims we haven't tested in a British winter
How we talk about it
We'd rather tell you than have you find out.
Our Waterless Wash doesn't work properly below about 5°C. It goes sluggish and it streaks. That's written on the product page, in the same size as everything else, because a one-star review in January is worse for both of us than a sale we didn't make.
The same applies to everything else. If a claim isn't tested, it isn't on the label. If a product isn't right for you, we'll say so.
Thirty days, no forms and no arguing. If a product didn't do what we said it would, we'd rather hear it than have you quietly not come back.
